I was so excited when I saw snow on the ground yesterday. Normally I hate the cold, but I did not have to drive in it,
walk in it, or shovel and I knew Brae would be so excited. As soon as she woke up I pulled up her curtains and showed her. She immediately wanted to go outside, but since it was 6:30 in the morning, I told her we had to wait until the sun came out.
Munga needed to shovel the driveway though, so she told her she could head out with her. I hadn't gotten her snow clothes yet, so I put her in thick tights, socks, sweat pants, a turtle neck, tennis shoes and hat and gloves and off she went. She and
Munga built a snowman, took some sleigh rides down the hill and threw snowballs at the window Berkley and I were watching through.
Braelyn kept wanting to shovel, so later that day
Munga bought her
snowboots, snowsuit and DA-DA-DA-DA a kid sized snow shovel! She was so excited she made us get her dressed right away, and you could just hear the sh-sh-sh of her pants as she walked around the house. She wanted to go outside so
Munga took her on a walk to deliver some papers to neighbors and she carried her shovel the entire way. Then she made a snow angel, which was the cutest thing I have ever seen in the snow. I thought she was going to sleep in her snow stuff. This morning as soon as she was dressed she ran to the garage to get her shovel because she wanted to "dig all
da snow" but we had to explain there wasn't any this morning, and that her shovel could not come inside the house with her. How did two people who hate the cold so much end up with a little snow bunny? It will sure make this winter a lot more fun!
It was fun to have an excuse to go play in the snow. She really keeps me young. Mom
