Braelyn finally had her first dentist appointment, and I was so nervous about taking her. I never know what I will get with her, although I feel like the unwillingness to cooperate is getting fewer and farther between, so I had hopes we would be okay. We talked the whole week before about what would happen and I tried to explain everything in detail so she would be prepared. We went to Dr. Smith, a pediatric dentist, in American Fork. The office was completely kid friendly, they had toys and movies in the waiting room, the nurse was welcoming and explained everything in princess themed activities, and they had open exam rooms with TV's in the celling and headphones. Braelyn was wonderful through every part of the cleaning, x-rays, and exam. The dentist thought her extra tooth was interesting, but he couldn't tell if she had an extra permanent underneath, so we will wait and see what comes in when she starts losing her baby teeth and then figure out what to do. Braelyn was very proud of herself, and thrilled that she got a new princess toothbrush. She also got a prize and a thing of floss, which she promptly pulled out and strewn about my car on the ride home.
